I know many fans dislike " I Quit" matches for their melodrama. But for me, a well-told story using this stipulation brings the magic back to wrestling. After all, this type of match usually ends a tense feud, and if interference and opponent-booking elements are present in any match, it's in an " I Quit" match. And this was one of those times when I didn't feel like writing a review in my head while watching the match; I was simply enjoying the action. Cope, Christian, Dax, and Cash delivered a true future classic. This wasn't just a great match like the Briscoe Brothers trilogy (I know many people love them, but with all due respect to the participants, that was just a series of matches without any storyline, so their final match with the dog collars felt like a series of brutal spots to me); the match against Christian and Copeland actually had soul. Some might say that such matches lack intrigue, but it's enough to remember that during his WWE Run, Copeland (fka Edge), a face, still lost a match under these rules. So I kept in mind that this match could also end dramatically. But we got a very cinematic happy ending, bringing an end to a spectacular rivalry. I had a blast watching it, and I watched it like mark, which is a huge asset when you've been watching wrestling for 16 years... So for me, this was hands down the best match of the night and a well-deserved *****.
